Gameboy
June 30, 2012
Before your Gameboy DS, IPhone and IPad appeared, these trend of gameboys killed the boredom of my childhood days. Of course, nothing would beat my classical PlayStation console, packed with Crash Bandicoot, Final Fantasy, Resident Evil and more. Also, nothing would beat those sweaty afternoon everytime I play outdoor games with my friends.
Nevertheless, gameboy was the first console I’ve ever used, welcoming me to the advent of different consoles. I could still remember that on that large black and white gameboy, my tita and I used to play Jurassic Park. There was no save feature back then so we needed to play the game continuously to advance to the plot. Then, I really became hooked with gameboy was when the Pokemon series began to come out in cartridges. The first version I played was Pokemon Silver. Every time my parents and I went to Bicol back then, I always assure my self that there is my gameboy at my bag, and some flashlights, so that I could play all throughout the ride. The nostalgia of beating gym leaders, deleting skills, consuming pokeballs and choosing your partner pokemon would always linger in these gameboys. As a part of my childhood, I’ve collected all these gameboys. I don’t have a DS, but I don[t care, my laptop has an emulator. Practicality dudes. Haha.
